Capacity of the active interconnection requests in the Queued Up data file (2026 edition), summed by county, with the number of those requests. These are generation and storage projects asking to connect to the grid, not electricity users. A county with no active request in the file has the value 0. Alaska and Hawaii, and the nine Connecticut planning regions, are not covered and have empty values.

ADM0, ADM1, ADM2

Administrative units of the world: countries (ADM0) everywhere, and first- and second-level units (ADM1, ADM2) for the countries whose entry in the boundary registry has been verified. Every unit has a code unit_id: ISO3 for countries, ISO3-level-national code below them (for example USA-2-51059). Units carry the geometry used on the map; for the United States and Norway, the national geometry used for calculations is published in separate analysis files. Areas that the chosen point of view assigns to no country are a separate layer.
